'HoneyComb Hair is Happy Hair'
Kerry, Owner of HoneyComb
Hi, I’ve been the owner of HoneyComb for the last 10 years. I have been in the hairdressing industry over 37 years undertaking various roles on a journey that has taken me from junior to educator and mentor.
The idea of HoneyComb has evolved over the last decade, constantly reviewing the service we provide and maintaining this attentiveness to our clients is the ethos behind our brand. I believe empowering my team through regular education from first aid, mental health awareness, product knowledge, colour expertise, cutting skills, client service through to salon business. I believe this continual and varied training is paramount to allow all the team members to grow in their own unique way and in turn give the client the best experience.
I now focus on salon administration, media coverage, in house training, reception and the wellbeing of our team. The most important thing for me is that my team are happy in their workplace and the clients are happy with their experience at HoneyComb and of course their hair. Away from HoneyComb I love spending time in my garden and with my dogs.
Tracey, Team Leader
Hello, I’ve been hairdressing for 25 years+ and still love it. I enjoy creating new looks and transformations, in this job we are always learning new trends and styles for our fantastic guests in the salon. Training is constant as things change all the time in the fashion industry. Alongside cutting, dying and styling hair, I carry out i-tip and tape hair extensions using spectrum one hair. This aims to give length, thickness or more bulk to the sides so if you’re interested, please get in touch for a free consultation. I also love doing hair updos and weddings.
My passion isn’t just hairdressing though I love scuba diving, hiking and walking, especially with my four legged best friend who goes with me on any expedition. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio, I look forward to seeing you soon at HoneyComb.
Chloe, Senior Stylist
Hey! I’ve been a part of HoneyComb now for over 6 years and during this time I’ve picked up lots of experience and new skills. When asked why I joined the hair industry I simply had too much to say… Ever since being a little girl I loved the idea of walking into a salon and seeing the people that walk out with massive smiles on their faces and thought that must be such a rewarding job! I’d often go home and practice on my own dolls. Now, to be able to see clients walk out of the door and catch a glimpse of themselves in the mirror and feel amazing makes me understand how special my job is. It’s fantastic being trained with all different types of hair including ladies and gents. My favourite thing is having a column full of different things to do from colours to cuts to gents and to be able to work on a variety of clients. I love learning new skills and most of all giving someone an amazing new look. Outside of the salon I love socialising and eating out.
Lauren, Stylist
Hi, I’m Lauren. I have over 6 years’ experience in the hairdressing industry and I love working here at HoneyComb. My favourite aspects of hairdressing are the transformations that I create. I love seeing the before and afters and how good it makes people feel! I also enjoy doing occasion hair as it allows me to be creative and share a special moment with clients. I have recently completed a Joico master colour course in Balayage and other techniques giving me lots of new ideas and creative ways of working. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my dogs and exploring the Shropshire countryside. I also enjoy travelling and seeing new parts of the world. Hairdressing is my passion and I look forward to seeing where my future with HoneyComb takes me.
Harriet, Junior Stylist
Hello, my name is Harriet and I am a stylist in the salon. I have worked as part of the team at HoneyComb for 3 years now, and I have loved every minute of it. My favourite part about my job is transforming my clients and making them feel happy with how they look. No matter what aspect of hair I am doing there is something so rewarding about making somebody feel the best version of themselves. I have a passion for colour, and I love experimenting with it to see what new looks I can create. I have recently attended a specialist certified Joico colour course in Balayage and other latest trend techniques in Manchester which was amazing. When I am not at work, I enjoy socialising with my friends and exploring different cities. Hope to see you soon.
Leah, Hairdressing Apprentice
Hiya I’m Leah, I have achieved my Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy qualifications, as well as other training experiences in beauty therapy. I have always had an interest in hairdressing, and I am now in my 2nd year apprenticeship with HoneyComb, which I am extremely excited for. I used to work here when I was in secondary school, helping with shampooing and keeping the salon tidy. I am really excited to continue my new journey here in hairdressing, combining my beauty skills alongside my hairdressing. My favourite service on clients is doing an Indian head massage followed by an amazing Joico hair treatment in our calm backwash area.
